The Old Chapel at Trethurgy is on the edge of a small village as close to the astonishing Eden Project as it is possible to be. A bridle path leads from the front of the chapel straight onto the entrance of Eden and can be walked or bicycled within minutes. We can supply Fast Track tickets to the Eden Project, which will save you queuing. Only two miles from sandy beaches, three miles from the main line station at St. Austell, and close to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the many famous Cornish gardens throughout the county are all within striking distance.

There is a very large galleried drawing room with TV and video. An open fireplace, sea view and comfortable sofas.


The kitchen has an oil fired AGA and is large and comfortable, well equipped, with a table that seats 8; and adjoins the dining room which seats 10. A laundry room and utility room, large fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher are provided.

If you would like basic groceries bought in advance, please send me a shopping list. Drying-up cloths, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, foil and cling film are all provided.

The Old Chapel sleeps 12 in comfort in 6 double bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. The Vestry has a further 4 single beds in its loft - a perfect dormitory/family room. In all, there are beds for 16 people!




A spacious garden with lawn and shrubs, garden furniture and a barbecue stretches behind the chapel. To the front there is private parking on an enclosed area.
On the day of your arrival please do not turn up before 2.00pm. On your departure day please can you leave by 10.00am. This gives us time to clean the house and change the linen etc. An inventory of the house contents is available and all breakages must be owned up to and paid for.
All linen and towels are provided except swimming/beach towels. Please NO PETS.
TROUT FISHING in local lake (walking distance) is available. Catch your supper!
We are happy to let The Old Chapel for short breaks of a minimum of three days at a time, and would like to point out that the Eden Project is under cover and can be marvelled at throughout the year. Short breaks are from Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday. From March to October it will be let by the week (changeover day is Friday). We highly recommend The Old Chapel, and if it is booked when you are wanting to come we have a fabulous cottage 2 miles away in Charlestown which sleeps 7. We also do bed and breakfast at our farm at Cabilla Manor on Bodmin Moor (only 22 minutes from the Eden Project).
